When to go

Best time to visit: Spring for the citrus blossoms and freshest produce, or autumn for gentle weather and peaceful drives through the valley.

Getting there

Patensie sits in the Gamtoos Valley, about 90 km west of Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), reached via the N2 and R331. The road winds through Loerie and Hankey, opening out to a wide, fertile valley framed by distant mountains.
